How to use your MagDisk Pro

MagDisk Pro is a revolutionary new SSD that magnetically attaches to your iPhone or iPad, giving you the power to edit videos and photos on the go. It is an accessory for content creators of all levels, whether you’re a professional videographer or just starting.

MagDisk Pro has three parts: the MagDisk Pro adapter, the SSD enclosure, and the Type C 3.2 Gen 2 data cable. Connect the SSD enclosure to the MagDisk Pro adapter, and then connect the Type C data cable to the SSD enclosure.

Attach the MagDisk Pro adapter to your device with MagSafe:

MagDisk Pro adapter contains MagSafe magnets, which can attach to your device with the MagSafe function.

 

Connect MagDisk Pro to your device:

You can use the Type C 3.2 Gen 2 data cable to connect MagDisk Pro to your device.

 *If your device/phone case doesn't have a MagSafe function, you can purchase our MagSafer 1.0 Magnetic adapter or MagSafer pro magnetic adapter (with the triple magnetic power of MagSafer 1.0) to use with your device.

MagSafer Pro has three magnets, which provide a strong hold on your phone or iPad. Simply attach the MagSafer Pro to the back of your device, and then snap the MagDisk into place.

Safety Instructions

  1. Read and understand all safety instructions before using the product.

  2. Use the product only for its intended purpose.

  3. If you want to upgrade your SSD, please replace it with a professional.

  4. Do not use the product in the presence of flammable or explosive materials.

  5. Do not drop or subject the SSD to shock.

  6. Do not expose the SSD to extreme temperatures.

  7. Do not expose the SSD to water or other liquids.

  8. Do not attempt to open or repair the SSD yourself.

  9. Only use the SSD with compatible devices.

  10. If you experience any problems with the product, discontinue use and contact customer service.

  11. SSDs are sensitive to physical shocks and vibrations. Handle them with care during installation and avoid dropping them.

  12. Discharge static electricity by touching a grounded metal surface before handling an SSD. Static shocks can harm the drive’s components.

  13. Securely mount the SSD in its designated slot. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for installation.

  14. SSDs perform optimally within a specific temperature range. Avoid extreme heat or cold.

  15. When storing SSDs, keep them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

  16. Excessive humidity can lead to electrical damage. Store SSDs in a dry environment.

  17. Regularly check for firmware updates provided by the manufacturer. These updates may improve performance, stability, and security.

  18. Always maintain backups of your data. While SSDs are reliable, unexpected failures can occur. Backups ensure you don’t lose critical files.

  19. THINKTHING STUDIO will not be responsible for data loss due to user actions, hardware failures, or other unforeseen circumstances.

  20. Regularly back up your data to mitigate the risk of permanent loss.

  21. SSDs have a limited number of write cycles. Avoid filling the drive to its maximum capacity to prolong its lifespan.

  22. Leave some free space (around 10-20%) to allow for wear levelling and garbage collection.

  23. Do not expose the Type-C cable to extreme temperatures.

  24. Do not expose the Type-C cable to water or other liquids.

  25. Do not attempt to repair the Type-C cable yourself.

  26. Only use the Type-C cable with compatible devices.

  27. Keep magnets away from children.

  28. Do not swallow magnets.

  29. Do not place magnets near electronic devices.

  30. Do not expose magnets to extreme temperatures.
